ADVENTURES

Here we go!

It was cool outside, high 60's to low 70's, when we got there by 1pm.

I wore jeans, a sweater, and my western boots. I definitely warmed up after doing some walking. I wish I wore more than just a bra under meshed undershirt under my sweater so I could have taken my thick sweater off. I surived though. It did get cooler again around 4pm.

We originally wanted to go on Saturday but it rained all weekend. This was really unfortunate for a few reasons. I paid 16$ per adult and 11$ per child, non-refundable.

We ended up going on the much busier day; the last day it was open and many people were off on Monday, Presidents day. Parking was easy and there was no charge. The entry fees were free for kids (11 & under) and the wristbands were half off since it was the LAST day. Luckily, I did not buy the wristbands online. I only paid 27$ for each wristband at this self serve kiosk with card. I suggest getting the wristband if you or your kids are going to ride more than 3 rides. The tickets are expensive.

The Petting Zoo

Greatamericanentertainment.co provided the petting zoo. It was 20$ for 4 ice-cream cones of food for the goats and sheep. They tell you to put your hand over the cone so the animals don't just take the whole thing.

They say do NOT feed these to the pigs and donkeys. The pig was laying down looking pretty sad. I felt so bad.

Our group had age 1 to 13 year old kids and they all had a blast. There were also Alpaca's, a small cow, donkeys, the sad pig, a small kangaroo looking creature (I'm no animal expert, don't judge me), and the cutest baby goats that were so sleepy. It was fun, a must.

Our Fav's

I am an adventurous person but not gung-ho. With that being said I didn't get a bunch of differnt foods, nor did a bunch of games. My daughter did a game and I think on the last day they are more willing to give out prizes because she got this Pikachu from a water gun game.

My friend loves the fried cheese sticks. There are MANY different kinds. I tried two. The cheddar with corn breading. Not for me! So gross. Then, I tried the one from a pizza stand. It had mozzerella cheese covered in italian breading, like a huge mozzerella cheese stick, and that one is my style. SO good!

We also tried a fried reeses peanut butter cup. NOT for me, nor did any of the kids liked it. Maybe we just very basic people. Before we left we got a yummy bucket of fries to hold us over until dinner time.

The little one did not go on any rides because he is only 1 and there just is not a whole not to do but to nap most of the time. The petting zoo was a hit though.

The 9/ 10 year old girls who are less daring to ride scary rides did the bumper cars and swinging around rides, and the walk through houses.

For my 13 year old, me and my friend, we love our adrenaline rushing rides. Our favorites were the Street Fighter one that does these 360 turns, and the Zipper. The line for the Zipper got very long but well worth it. You can NOT ride alone FYI. I'm aging so the zipper wore me out after. Luckily I saved it for last.
